Who can invest in the Black Wealth Fund?

The fund is offered under SEC Regulation D, which means it is a private securities offering available to qualified investors rather than the general public. Accredited investors (income of $200,000+ individually / $300,000+ jointly, or $1M+ net worth excluding your primary residence) may invest, and a limited number of sophisticated non-accredited investors may also be admitted under Rule 506(b). During the application you’ll complete a short investor qualification questionnaire, and our team reviews every subscription before acceptance. The minimum investment is $5,000.

How is interest paid on the Growth Account vs. the Income Account?

The Growth Account earns 15% per annum: interest accrues at 3% per quarter and compounds, plus a 3% bonus, with everything paid in one lump sum at maturity — you receive no payments during the term, which maximizes compounding. The Income Account earns 12% per annum paid out as cash: you receive a 3% quarterly interest payment (3% of your principal every quarter), making it a predictable passive-income option. You choose your account type during the application and it applies for the full term.

How long is the investment term?

Every bond has a fixed 24-month (two-year) term that begins on the date your funds clear and your subscription is accepted. Your principal is committed for the full term — these are private bonds, not publicly traded securities, so there is no secondary market and early redemption is not guaranteed. Quarterly statements in your investor portal show exactly where you are in the term and your projected maturity date.

Can I invest through my IRA or other retirement account?

Yes. Self-directed IRA investments are accepted through Strata Trust Company, our third-party custodian for retirement accounts. You open (or transfer into) a self-directed IRA at Strata Trust, direct Strata to subscribe to the fund on your IRA’s behalf, and all interest is paid back into the IRA to preserve its tax-advantaged status. Traditional, Roth, SEP, and rollover IRAs are all eligible. Our investor relations team can provide the Strata Trust direction-of-investment forms and walk you through the process.

What happens when my bond reaches maturity?

About 60 days before your 24-month maturity date we’ll contact you with your options. You can redeem in full — Growth investors receive principal plus all accrued and bonus interest, and Income investors receive their principal back (having already received quarterly interest along the way). Or you can roll over into a new 24-month bond, keeping your capital working with no gap in earnings; Growth investors may roll principal plus accrued interest for full compounding. If we don’t hear from you, your final payment is sent to your bank account on file and your final statement is posted to the portal.
